This video is great because air bubbles area common occurence with pools, especially when the are opened for the season. Just with advice in this video pool owners will eliminate service calls, save money, and have better pool filtration. Great video Jason!

I don’t have air bubbles, I have FOAM like a bubble bath. I’ve NEVER encountered this problem! I use Bacquacil. Can too much algaecide cause this? Again, this has NEVER occured.

Please reply if you get a chance.

Yes too much algecide could cause the foam you’re encountering. Algecide is essentially soap so you can see why your getting an unexpected bubble bath. You can either wait and it will subside in a few days, or if it’s a major problem you could by a foam illiminating chemical from a pool store.

Thanks a million Jason,
We had the same problem. the local pool supply company ( Club Piscine)said that we had to change our sand for $ 200 odd dollars. They couldn’t undo the filter. They suggested we buy a new filter. Then I found your video. We changed the O-ring on the filter and checked the O-ring at the union. . Using a ratchet I tightened all the clamps on the suction side and it fixed the air problem. I also saved hundreds of dollars. Thanks again.
Stewart
